Also, our guests for the November meeting will be the Deputy Director of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS), David Brown, and David Muhammad Chief of Committed Services for DYRS.

Youth Advocacy Day 2007 – Saturday, October 20, 2007 from 9am to 4pm @ Covenant House Washington 2001 Mississippi Ave., SE.
This will be a day of youth leadership workshops and activities geared towards creating an empowering space where young people ages 16-24 can feel, learn, and experience the array of youth activism taking place in the city.

April 24th: First DCAYA Fundraiser
Please come out on April 24th to DCAYA's first special event/fundraiser. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the hard work of members and allies who have put together a fantastic policy agenda for 2007-2008 focused on the needs of DC youth!! The policy agenda will be launched at this event!
The event is a happy hour/mini silent auction at Duke's City on 1200 U Street, from 5-9pm on April 24th! The cost is $10. Flyer is available here.
